چکیده

To safeguard against meat supply shortages during pandemics or other catastrophes, this study analyzed the potential to provide average household’s entire protein consumption using either soybean production distributed at household level in U.S. with: (1) pasture-fed rabbits, (2) pellet and hay-fed (3) pellet-fed chickens. Only backyard resources, cultivation can 80–160% of 0–50% a needs be provided by rabbits only yard grass as feed. If external supplementation feed is available, raising 52 chickens while also harvesting concomitant eggs alternately 107 grain-fed meet 100% an requirements. These results show that resilience future challenges associated with growing demands incrementally addressed through production. Backyard chicken meat, eggs, rabbit reduces environmental costs due savings production, transportation, refrigeration products even more so soybeans. Generally, was found economically competitive centralized if labor were ignored.

simulation and experimental studies for prediction mineral scale formation in oil field during mixing of injection and formation water

abstract: mineral scaling in oil and gas production equipment is one of the most important problem that occurs while water injection and it has been recognized to be a major operational problem. the incompatibility between injected and formation waters may result in inorganic scale precipitation in the equipment and reservoir and then reduction of oil production rate and water injection rate. ...

Plant-based expression systems for protein and antimicrobial peptide production

Molecular farming technology offers a unique advantage that almost any protein can be produced economically and safely under very controlled conditions. Besides traditional production systems, such as bacteria, yeasts, insects and mammal cell lines, plants can now be used to produce eukaryotic recombinant proteins, especially therapeutic ones. Their advantages as hosts for protein production in...
